Job summary

Freight Breakers in Romeoville seeks motivated team members for material handling, unloading and loading boxes in a production-based role. Earn commission-based pay plus hourly wages when not on a truck, with weekly earnings varying by shift and truck load.

Shifts run 7am–6:30pm, Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday. We emphasize safety, reliability, and attendance; benefits include dental and vision insurance and paid time off after one year.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Must have steel toe shoes.
• Must be present and on time for all scheduled shifts.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50-100 LBS.
• Must be able to work overtime when needed.
• Must be able to perform at or above production standards (after training).

Responsibilities

• Move pallets to/from staging area.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow receiving/shipping policies and procedures.
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols.

• Loading/unloading trucks with varying pay rates; still paid while at work.

Overview

Our material handlers primarily assist with unloading and loading boxes from trailers. This is a production-based position.

*Commission based plus hr while not on a truck *

Responsibilities

• Move pallets to/from staging area.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow receiving/shipping policies and procedures.
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols.
• Follow attendance policies and call-off procedures.
• Can be loading / unloading trucks, each truck is based on different pay rate, while not on trucks still get paid awhile being at work

• Must be 18 or older
• Reliable transportation
• Must have steel toe shoes
• Must be present and on time for all scheduled shifts
• Must be able to lift and carry 50-100LBS
• Must be able to work consistently for long periods of time
• Must be able to perform at or above production standards (after training)
• Must be able to work overtime when needed.
