Job summary

Vistar is seeking a forklift operator for our Memphis area warehouse. The role involves moving product from trailers to dock staging areas, sorting pallets, and ensuring product integrity. You will work in a multi-temperature environment and must pass a post-offer drug test and background check.

High school diploma or GED is required, with 6 months to 1 year of warehouse/production experience. OT may be required, and safety standards must be followed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 6 months to 1 year warehouse/production experience.
• Must be able to work scheduled times and overtime.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly during shift.
• Able to lift 10–35 lb and up to 60–100 lb depending on location.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Responsible for moving product with a forklift or pallet jack from trailer to another area of the warehouse dock during receiving process. Observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities:

• Move product from trailer to appropriate dock staging area in a safe, efficient manner.
• Sort and segregate pallets / product, as necessary.
• Check product for damages and alert receivers, if necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

• 6 Months - 1 Year Warehouse and / or production work experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 100 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer and dry
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Preferred qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

1 - 3 Years Warehouse and / or production work experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Forklift Certification - OSHA Forklift operator certificate
