Job summary

HPM Building Supply in Kamuela, Hawaii is hiring a full-time Lumberyard Specialist to ensure our customers receive the materials they need. The role is the first to respond to orders and sets the tone for the customer experience in our outdoor warehouse.

Qualified candidates will have knowledge of building materials, basic computer skills, forklift certification or ability to obtain it, and prior cash-handling or customer service experience. Must lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of building materials and lumber is preferred.
• Basic computer skills for inventory and checkout.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Prior customer service and cash-handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in an outdoor warehouse in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with/without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• First to respond when an order is placed and set the tone for the customer experience.
• Assist customers with material selection and provide product knowledge.
• Operate in an outdoor warehouse and ensure safe handling of materials.
