Job summary

The Lumberyard Load Builder at Marvin Home Center prepares and loads materials onto delivery vehicles, ensuring accurate orders and safe handling in a fast-paced lumberyard. You will interact with customers and team members while maintaining a clean, organized work area.

This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with rotating weekend work, opportunities to work with forklifts and power tools, and a focus on safety, teamwork, and reliable service to keep deliveries on time.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry materials over 100 lbs.
• Experience with loading/unloading and material handling.
• Familiarity with lumber species, grades, dimensions.
• Ability to operate forklifts and basic shop tools.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials, pull and stage orders, and load trucks.
• Use proper techniques to prevent damage; secure materials for transport.
• Track inventory locations and assist with incoming shipments.
• Assist customers with loading and answer questions.
• Follow safety rules, keep area clean, report accidents.
• Coordinate with supervisors, drivers, and teammates.
