Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a lumberyard associate to assist customers at the drive-through and help load lumber and materials onto vehicles. You will develop product knowledge, verify orders, and maintain safety while working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, guiding selections, processing orders, operating forklifts, and updating inventory records with accuracy. A commitment to safety and strong communication are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Previous lumberyard or construction materials experience preferred.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Knowledge of lumber and construction materials is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with their needs at the drive-through lumberyard.
• Provide guidance on selecting and loading lumber and construction materials.
• Communicate effectively to address questions and special requests and share pricing/policies.
• Pull and stage customer orders and ensure accuracy before delivery to vehicles.
• Operate forklifts or related equipment to load/unload heavy materials safely.
• Update inventory system when materials are pulled or restocked and report discrepancies.
