Job summary

Home Central in New York State is seeking a Yard Associate to support customers, keep the lumberyard clean, and help with daily operations. You will assist shoppers, process add-on sales, load customer vehicles, and ensure accurate inventory and safety standards are followed.

A positive attitude, reliable teamwork, willingness to learn, and the ability to lift up to 80 lbs are essential. Training will be provided, and you will participate in staff meetings while representing a family-owned

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers and suggesting add-ons.
• Assist with price lookups, special orders, and order entry using POS systems.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting lumberyard environment.
• Notify customers of promotions and new products.
• Help with regular inventory and loading customer vehicles.
• Support daily upkeep of lumber stacks and store policies compliance.
• Identify shoplifters and respond per store policy.
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to a positive team culture.
