This full-time position offers hands-on work and opportunities to learn yard operations. You will stock, load deliveries, assist drivers, prepare returns, and keep areas clean while supporting inventory control and workflow.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED, or 12 months related experience.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and memos; communicate with customers.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic algebra and geometry.
• Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to follow instructions and solve problems.
• Physical Demands: Lift up to 50 pounds regularly, up to 75 pounds occasionally; stand, walk, and operate equipment.
• Safety and environment: outdoor conditions; forklift training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Offer prompt, courteous service and verify material type/quantity.
• Cut stock to size using stationary power saw; record on cut sheet.
• Advise on stock levels to supervisor.
• Prepare material for delivery and assist loading.
• Assist driver with off-loading at job sites.
• Prepare RMAs and verify purchase date and condition.
• Keep assigned storage area tidy and safe.
• Stack lumber neatly and maintain orderly yard.
• Perform mowing, weed whacking, and snow removal.
• Report equipment issues to supervisor.
