Job summary

Qualifications

• Forklift certification is required.
• Some delivery experience preferred.
• Experience dealing with the public is required.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Satisfactory reading, writing, and speaking skills are required.
• Knowledge of lumber, building materials, and material handling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers or contractors entering yard or warehouse.
• Operate forklift to merchandise and stock yard/warehouse.
• Assist truck drivers in delivering merchandise to homeowners and job sites.
• Load materials into customers’ vehicles or delivery trucks based on POS records.
• Develop expertise in forklift, warehouse lifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment.
• Unload incoming freight without damaging goods or equipment.
• Build loads and prepare materials for delivery.
• Identify shortages and report to management.
• Maintain yard/warehouse in clean, safe condition.
• Assist cashiers and yard staff as needed with customer needs.
• Support contractor sales counter functions as required.
