Job summary

Crosslin Building Supply Inc is seeking a Yard Operations Supervisor to lead a lumber yard team and oversee daily shipping, receiving, staging, and delivery activities.

You will coordinate workloads, manage staff including CDL and forklift drivers, and ensure accuracy of orders while maintaining safety and efficiency. Strong leadership, communication, and inventory management experience are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred; College experience preferred.
• Previous management experience required.
• Lumber industry experience strongly preferred.
• Forklift and/or Moffett experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide structured guidance and leadership for a lumber yard team, including employee management and performance reviews.
• Supervise daily shipping, staging, picking, loading, and dispatch activities.
• Ensure customer orders are accurately pulled, staged, verified, and loaded.
• Coordinate daily workload based on order volume, delivery schedules, and staffing levels.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the yard and coordinate with departments for receipt, storage, and distribution of materials.
• Oversee CDL Drivers, Forklift Drivers, and General Laborers during daily yard and delivery operations.
• Conduct regular coaching and performance discussions to recognize positive performance and address areas for improvement.
