Job summary

The Baillie Group, via Midwest Hardwoods under Baillie Group management, seeks a Log Yard Manager in Wisconsin. The role oversees lumber flow from sawmill through stacking, kiln-drying, grading, packaging and shipping, reporting to the Plant Manager with several direct reports including forklift operators and graders.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of experience managing large teams in industrial settings, plus proficiency with SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience managing a team of 10+ in an industrial setting.
• Comfortable in dynamic environments and handling real-time changes.
• Physical ability to stand or move for full shift periods.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct, direct reports.
• Manage a defined daily scorecard for productivity, uptime, and quality.
• Contribute to team culture.
• Maintain a safe, organized industrial environment.
• Adjust production and staffing plans with changing demand.
• Exposed to lumber operations experience preferred
• Experience with SAP system
