Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. seeks a General Laborer to safely handle lumber products and verify materials meet customer requirements and company expectations.

Responsibilities include moving, stacking, labeling, using a staple gun, assisting in production, maintaining clean work areas, and participating in safety and CI programs. No formal experience required; HS diploma preferred; must be 18+.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• Manufacturing or lumber experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Moves and secures lumber products according to instructions.
• Stacks finished products according to bundle sizes and customer requirements.
• Labels material based on type, size, and count.
• Applies individual tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Uses a staple gun and troubleshoots equipment.
• Bands, bundles and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports any problems or discrepancies to supervisor.
• Records production on production sheets.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Assists with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as required.
