Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a General Labor role in Minnesota. The position involves safely handling lumber products and verifying materials meet customer requirements and company expectations.

Prepares and labels materials, stacks products, and assists with loading and inventory tasks on a 6:00am–4:30pm schedule, Monday through Thursday. Experience is not required, but basic math and a willingness to work in a manufacturing environment are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required; manufacturing or lumber experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Moves and secures lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stacks finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Labels material based on type, size, and count.
• Applies individual tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Uses a staple gun and troubleshoots equipment.
• Bans, bundles and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements.
• Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports any problems or discrepancies to supervisor.
• Records production on production sheets.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Assists with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as required.
