Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Georgia is seeking a General Labor to safely handle lumber products and verify materials meet customer specs and company standards. You will move, stack, label, and secure lumber, assist with loading and unloading, and participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• No minimum experience required; manufacturing or lumber experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Label material based on type, size and count.
• Apply individual tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Use a staple gun and troubleshoot equipment.
• Band, bundle and secure material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Follow stacking instructions per policy and customer requirements.
