Job summary

PRT Staffing in Groveland, Florida is seeking a reliable Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse and yard operations. You will move lumber, trusses, and construction supplies, load and unload materials, and keep work areas safe and organized.

This role requires outdoor work in varying weather, emphasis on safety, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Mon-Fri 6am-4:30pm with possible overtime.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience required; certification preferred.
• Experience with lumber and building materials is required.
• Must work outdoors in various weather conditions; safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts (sit-down and/or rough terrain) to load, unload, and transport materials.
• Move lumber, trusses, and building products in the yard and warehouse.
• Stage and prepare materials for delivery and customer pickup.
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, including storage and loading zones.
• Follow all safety guidelines and OSHA regulations to ensure a safe workplace.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts (sit-down and/or rough terrain) to load, unload, and transport materials
• Move lumber, trusses, and other building products throughout the yard and warehouse
• Stage and prepare materials for delivery and customer pickup
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, including storage and loading zones
• Follow all safety guidelines and OSHA regulations to ensure a safe workplace
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience required (certification preferred)
• Experience working with building materials (lumber, construction supplies) is Required
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and perform physical tasks
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

Work Schedule

• Monday – Friday with possible overtime, 6am- 430pm
