Responsibilities

• Answer questions and direct customers to building materials in the lumber yard.
• Load merchandise onto store delivery trucks for delivery or transfer.
• Assist with unloading deliveries as necessary.
• Remove lumber from units and rack according to grade and length.
• Read work orders or follow instructions to determine items to move or load.
• Assist customers with loading purchased merchandise.
• Maintain yard and racks in an orderly, clean condition.
• Operate forklift or industrial truck to load/move merchandise.
• Complete daily forklift inspections.
• Adhere to loss prevention, inventory control, and compliance procedures.
• Maintain safety and report hazards to staff.
