Job summary

The Baillie Group is hiring at our Cayuta, NY facility for a lumber stacker / general laborer. This full-time, permanent position offers health and life insurance, paid vacation and holidays. Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with high school education encouraged but not required.

Standard first shift hours are 6:00AM–3:30PM, with a flexible schedule available. Identify sort numbers on boards, pull and bundle stacks properly, and ensure bundles are square and ready for forklift

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Entry level general labor experience welcomed.
• High School degree preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Identify sort numbers for carts and pull boards accordingly.
• Pile boards with edges free of defects, longest boards on top and bottom.
• Bundle until full, finish with a top layer and prepare for forklift removal.

Our Cayuta, NY facility is hiring for lumber stacker / general laborer. If you previously worked as a warehouse worker or any entry level general labor position before, you'll be a great fit for this role. These positions are full time and permanent opportunities working for a world class hardwood lumber manufacturer.

• Minimum - Anticipated Maximum Salary: $16 - $19/hour
• 1st shift 6:00AM-3:30PM
• Flexible schedule available

Identify the sort numbers for the carts you are responsible for. Pull boards into the correct carts according to the sort numbers on the boards.

Pile the boards with the following criteria:

• Top, bottom and outside boards will be the longest
• All edges will be free of knots, wane, writing and other defects
• Bundle must be square with edge boards against the pipes of the cart
• Build each bundle until full and finish off with a nice top layer
• Push out finished bundle for forklift to removePrevious experience as a warehouse worker preferred
• Previous experience as an entry level worker is preferred
• Previous experience working on a farm is a plus!
• High School degree preferred, but not required
