Job summary

Wagner Lumber, a division of Wagner Hardwoods, LLC, in Owego, NY, is hiring a General Laborer who will also operate a forklift occasionally. This is a full-time opportunity with a world-class hardwood lumber manufacturer.

The role includes forklift duties, manual lumber handling, and basic packing tasks. Benefits include health and life insurance, paid vacation and holidays, and full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Pull and stack lumber based on company specifications.
• Operate forklift to pull packs off dry line safely as needed.
• Pace 4 bands evenly on packs.
• Stencil pack information on packs neatly.
• Use forklift to transport packs throughout warehouse as needed.
• Sort lumber on stacker.

Responsibilities

• Pull and stack lumber according to specs.
• Operate forklift to move packs safely around the warehouse.
• Sort lumber on the stacker and ensure proper packing.

General Labor - Forklift Operator Pay & Benefits:

• Minimum - Anticipated Maximum Salary: $17 - $19/hour*
• Overtime Hours & Pay

General Labor - Forklift Operator Education & Experience:

• Previous experience as a forklift op preferred but not required
• Previous experience stacking lumber preferred but not required
• Previous experience working on a farm is a plus!
• High School degree preferred, but not required
