Job summary

Builders FirstSource, America’s largest supplier of building materials, value-added components and building services to the professional market, is hiring for a on-site role involving selecting lumber grades, handling materials, and assembling customer orders. Duties include reading pick lists, conveying materials, sorting by size/type, and distributing items to production and packing areas.

Up to one month of related experience or training is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Up to one month of related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Reads pick list to determine items to be moved or gathered.
• Conveys materials from receiving or production areas to saw or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials into designated area according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
