Job summary

Out of the Woods Custom Cabinetry in Layton, Utah is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to keep equipment, machinery, and the facility operating safely and efficiently.

This hands-on role handles routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventative tasks to minimize downtime in a fast-paced warehouse and production environment. Must be mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and able to work independently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience.
• Experience safely operating hand and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of equipment, machinery, building systems, and facilities to identify maintenance or safety concerns.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, equipment, and building maintenance issues.
• Respond to maintenance requests, work orders, and emergency maintenance needs promptly.
• Follow safety procedures, SOPs, and SDS; report equipment problems or safety risks to management.
• Install, assemble, test, and assist with setup of new equipment and machinery as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and completed work.
• Keep tools and equipment in safe, clean condition; coordinate with outside contractors when needed.
• Work professionally with employees, management, vendors, and customers to support a safe, clean facility.
