Job summary

UFP Industries is hiring for a General Labor role in Springdale, AR. You will safely handle lumber products, verify materials meet customer requirements, and support production processes from tagging to stacking.

The position emphasizes following instructions, maintaining accurate material handling records, and participating in safety programs. A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required, and basic math skills are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Manufacturing or lumber experience preferred.
• Basic math skills preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Label material by type, size, and count.
• Apply tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Operate staple gun and troubleshoot equipment.
• Band, bundle and secure material; attach corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Follow stacking instructions per policy and customer requirements.
• Ensure correct quantities and material are strapped and labeled before leaving work area.
• Maintain inventory of tags and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Record production on production sheets.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Assist with other areas by moving material and loading/unloading carts.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
