Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a General Labor associate to safely handle lumber products and verify materials meet customer requirements. You will contribute to accurate labeling, tagging, and secure stacking, while maintaining inventory and production records.

The role requires active participation in safety programs and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, material handling, and ensuring quantities and labels are correct before leaving the

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Manufacturing or lumber experience preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Label material by type, size, and count.
• Apply individual tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Use a staple gun and troubleshoot equipment.
• Band, bundle and secure material, including corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Follow stacking instructions per company policy and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Record production on production sheets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with other areas by moving material and loading/unloading carts.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
