Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a General Labor worker to safely handle lumber products, verify material against requirements, and assist in production areas.

You will move, stack, label, and securely bundle items while maintaining accurate inventory and production records. Responsibilities include using staple guns, bands, and corner protectors, following company procedures, and participating in safety and CI programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required, but manufacturing or lumber experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and customer requirements.
• Label material by type, size, and count and apply tags to material.
• Use a staple gun, band/secure material, and attach corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Follow stacking instructions and company/customer requirements for proper quantities and labeling.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Record production on production sheets and keep work area clean and organized.
• Assist with other areas by moving material, loading/unloading carts; participate in safety/CI programs and meetings.
