Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Certification in lumber grading preferred; non-certified applicants considered if training is possible.
• 3-5 years lumber grading experience preferred.
• Manufacturing or lumber experience preferred; basic math skills helpful.

Responsibilities

• Grade and sort softwood SPF and SYP per TP/SPIB requirements.
• Move, stack, label, and secure lumber to meet specs.
• Maintain inventory tags and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Assist with loading/unloading and operate staple gun; use bands and corner protectors.
• Participate in safety and continuous improvement programs.
