Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a general labor associate to safely handle lumber products and verify materials meet customer requirements and company expectations.

Responsibilities include moving, stacking, labeling, tagging, and securing materials, assisting with loading/unloading, and maintaining clean work areas. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Basic math skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products according to instructions.
• Stack finished products by bundle sizes and customer requirements.
• Label material by type, size, and count.
• Tag material before/after treating/production.
• Operate staple gun and troubleshoot equipment.
• Bundles and secures material with straps and corner protectors.
• Ensure correct quantities and material are strapped and labeled before leaving the area.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with other areas by moving material and loading/unloading carts.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
