Job summary

Ascentek is seeking a Quality Control Technician I to support blending and packaging of high‑performance petroleum products. You will test fluid properties, ensure quality against specs, and assist with the used oil analysis program. The role requires safe lab practices and collaboration with production teams.

Ideal candidates will have a HS diploma or GED, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to organize multiple priorities. On-site position with safety PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Safe laboratory practices must be followed.
• Strong oral, written, analytical and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to perform calculations for proportions and solutions.
• Ability to work independently to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Basic knowledge of industrial lubricants is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Test chemical and physical properties of finished lubricants.
• Collaborate with production to correct quality issues and write deviations.
• Perform packaging line audits with audit checklist.
• Clean and stock laboratory materials.
• Dispose of expired quality samples.
• Calibrate and validate laboratory instrumentation.
• Prepare calibration standards.
• Assist with used oil analysis with Chemist where applicable.
• Provide certification of analysis when necessary.
• Support quality control continuous improvement projects.
