Job summary

Par Pacific is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform critical quality-control testing of crude oils and process streams. You will maintain instrumentation, record results in LIMS, and support lab operations within a safety-focused team on the Kapolei refinery campus.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, chemistry-related education preferred, and 2+ years of lab experience. TWIC credential and strong computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• College degree in Chemistry or related sciences preferred.
• Min 2 years laboratory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret data; prepare written communications and reports.
• Good computer skills.
• Safety and environmental awareness; respond to emergencies.
• TWIC credential maintained.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing on crude oils, process streams, finished and unfinished products.
• Calibrate and maintain testing equipment; ensure optimal operation.
• Prepare solvents, solutions and glassware for testing.
• Enter results into LIMS and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain samples and manage retention/disposal.
• Support inventory of lab supplies and ordering.
• Comply with environmental, health and safety standards.
• Operate refinery utility vehicle to transport samples and supplies.
• Collaborate with lab chemists and cross-functional teams.
