Job summary

Sterling Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Lube Truck Driver (Heavy Civil Construction) in Beaver, UT. You will operate and maintain lube trucks and construction equipment, perform minor repairs, and assist with equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or related experience.
• 1+ year experience with heavy construction equipment/vehicles.
• 1+ year experience with diesel fuel, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• 1+ year experience performing field repairs.
• Ability to lift 50–100 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.
• Must have valid CDL.
• Ability to perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
• Operate construction equipment and vehicles to repair.
• Perform welding as needed for repairs.
• Maintain logs in timely and organized fashion.
• May drive Lube Truck to fuel and service equipment.
• May drive company pickup for parts.
• Assist with small tool and equipment maintenance.

Position_Description :

1. Perform routine maintenance of equipment and vehicles as needed and on time.
2. Operate construction equipment and vehicles in order to repair.
3. Perform miscellaneous welding to repair items not requiring a certified welder.
4. Strive to maintain zero repeat/redo repairs.
5. Clean equipment and vehicles in the process of making repairs.
6. Maintain daily logs in a legitimate, timely and organized fashion.
7. May drive Lube Truck to fuel and service equipment in personnel absences.
8. May drive company pickup truck to get parts.
9. Assist with small tool and equipment maintenance, repair as needed.
10. Seek knowledge of new technologies/methods used in truck and equipment maintenance.
11. Recommend measures to Shop Manager to improve safety, production, equipment performance and repair quality.

Position Requirements :

1. High school education; or up to two years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. A minimum of 1 years of experience working on heavy construction equipment and vehicles
3. A minimum of 1 years of experience working with diesel fuel systems, hydraulic systems, electrical systems
4. A minimum of 1 years of experience performing field repairs
5. Be able to physically lift 50 100 LBS
6. Be able to regularly stand for long periods of time, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl
7. Specific vision abilities are required, which includes to have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
8. Perform mathematical problems
9. Valid CDL is required.
