Poway Honda in Poway, CA is seeking a Lube Technician to perform lubrication services quickly and thoroughly, coordinating with the Production Foreman to ensure priority and quality. The role requires inspecting vehicles, refilling fluids, and maintaining equipment while keeping customer cars clean.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years of automotive service experience, ASE or trade school certification preferred, and a strong work ethic suitable for a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver\'s license and a clean driving record are required.
• Authorized to work in the USA and able to pass pre-employment testing (background checks, MVR, drug test).
• ASE Certification and/or trade school certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard lubrication services (oil changes, fluid checks).
• Inspect vehicle and refer needed repairs to Service Advisor.
• Operate and maintain lubrication equipment and lifts safely.
• Document service performed and ensure vehicle cleanliness after service.

Job Description

The Lube Technician will be responsible for lubricating cars in a quick, yet thorough manner, and for carrying out his responsibilities through coordination with the Production Foreman.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all automotive lubrication services (oil changes, topping off fluids, etc)
• Perform thorough check of customer's car (i.e., battery, lights, tires), referring all needed repairs and preventive maintenance to Service Advisor.
• Operate and maintain all lubrication equipment.
• Receive repair order from either the Service Salesman or the Production Foreman and proceed to service lift.
• Lubricate entire car while looking for other items which may need repair.
• Ensure that the customer's car is kept clean.
• Make certain all equipment is in proper working order, especially the lifts.
• Use adequate, but not excessive, amounts of materials and supplies.
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Qualifications

Required

• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.

Preferred

• 1+ years of Automotive Service Technician experience (or Tire/Oil Change).
• ASE Certification and/or trade school certification.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Honda/Acura (or multi) brand experience.
• Strong work ethic and thrive in fast paced environment.
• Ability to follow directions, willingness to learn, and mentor teammates.
• Respect for teammates and positive outlook.

Additional Information

Compensation: $20.00 per hour

Schedule

• Full Time
• Monday through Saturday availability
• Sundays off
