Poway Honda, part of the Sonic Automotive family, is hiring a Lube Technician in Poway, CA. You will lubricate vehicles quickly and thoroughly, working with the Production Foreman.

The role requires a valid drivers license, ability to pass background checks and pre-employment testing, and a drive for customer service excellence. This full-time position offers $20.00 per hour, opportunities for advancement, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Valid driver license and a good driving record.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate cars thoroughly and efficiently, coordinating with Production Foreman.
• Operate and maintain lubrication equipment.
• Receive repair orders and service lifts as directed.
• Inspect vehicles for issues beyond lubrication and coordinate repairs.
• Keep customers' cars clean and well-presented.
• Ensure equipment and lifts are in proper working order.
• Use appropriate quantities of materials and supplies.
• Follow safety policies and report accidents immediately.

Job Description

TheLube Technicianwill be responsible for lubricating cars in a quick, yet thorough manner, and for carrying out his responsibilities through coordination with the Production Foreman.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough check of customer’s car (i.e., battery, lights, tires), referring all needed repairs and preventive maintenance to Service Advisor.
• Operate and maintain all lubrication equipment.
• Receive repair order from either the Service Salesman or the Production Foreman and proceed to service lift.
• Lubricate entire car while looking for other items which may need repair.
• Ensure that the customer’s car is kept clean.
• Make certain all equipment is in proper working order, especially the lifts.
• Use adequate, but not excessive, amounts of materials and supplies.
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Required:

• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.

Preferred:

• 1+ years of Automotive Service Technicianexperience (or Tire/Oil Change).
• ASE Certification and/or trade school certification.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Honda/Acura (or multi) brand experience.
• Strong work ethic and thrive in fast paced environment.
• Ability to follow directions, willingness to learn, and mentor teammates.
• Respect for teammates and positive outlook.

Compensation:$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Full Time
• Monday through Saturday availability
• Sundays off
