Job summary

Grease Monkey in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a dependable lube technician to service the underside of vehicles quickly, safely, and accurately. The role requires careful attention to ensure proper gaskets and drain plugs are used, and that the vehicle is greased with checks on gear boxes and oil filters.

Responsibilities include inspecting belts, hoses, and other components, performing pressure and leak checks, and assisting with additional services as needed.

Qualifications

• Customer service, literacy and verbal communication skills required.
• License to operate motor vehicles required.
• Ability to use mechanical hand tools.
• Attention to detail essential.
• Minimum 3 months actual experience or supervised training as a lube technician.

Responsibilities

• Work safely, wear safety gear, keep work area clean and organized.
• Use Echo System.
• Perform visual inspection of vehicle undercarriage and document conditions.
• Obtain correct oil filter and drain oil, inspect gasket.
• Check and fill gear boxes.
• Perform additional services as applicable (fuel filters, transmissions, differentials).
• Assist with pressure and leak checks.
• Inspect belts/hoses and other components; assist with leak checks.
• Lubricate chassis and install tamper seals on plugs.
• Assist with final safety and quality checks.
