Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is hiring Lube Technicians for our Tulsa-area dealerships, including South Pointe Honda, South Pointe Chevrolet, South Pointe Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, and BMW of Tulsa. We offer training, mentorship, and a clear path to advancement as a Certified Technician or Main Line Technician.

You will perform routine maintenance, conduct multi-point inspections, and document your findings with dealership technology to ensure safety and performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license.
• Basic understanding of automotive systems (engine, brakes, tires, fluids).
• Ability to perform routine maintenance services, including oil and filter changes, tire rotation, and fluid checks.
• Battery testing and replacement
• Visual inspections of belts, hoses, and filters
• Familiarity with basic hand and power tools
• Ability to follow manufacturer and shop service procedures

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid exchanges, and filter replacements while meeting dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Complete comprehensive digital multi-point inspections to identify maintenance needs and help ensure vehicle safety, reliability, and performance.
• Inspect critical vehicle components including tires, brakes, batteries, filters, fluids, suspension components, and other key systems.
• Create photo and video inspection reports that provide customers with a transparent view of their vehicle's condition and recommended services.
• Accurately document inspection findings, maintenance recommendations, and completed services using dealership technology and digital reporting tools.
• Handle customer vehicles with care and professionalism while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment that supports productivity and teamwork.
• Follow all company safety policies, manufacturer guidelines, and service department procedures.
• Promptly report damaged tools, equipment issues, or safety concerns to management.
• Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a customer-first mindset while supporting dealership goals and company values.
