Job summary

Suburban Ford of Waterford, part of Lithia & Driveway, is hiring an automotive technician in Waterford, MI. This on-site role requires open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet dealership demand.

You will report to the Service Manager and work with a knowledgeable team dedicated to customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates have automotive repair and diagnostic experience, knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and ASE or manufacturer certifications.

Qualifications

• Automotive repair and diagnostic experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
• 1+ years of using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Current ASE or manufacturer certifications.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform automotive repairs and diagnostics.
• Document work accurately and maintain service records.
• Ensure safety and quality of repairs.
• Collaborate with the service team and communicate with customers.

What You’ll Bring

• Automotive repair and diagnostic experience
• Knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems
• 1+ or more years of experience using diagnostic tools and service equipment
• Strong attention to repair quality and accurate documentation
• Current ASE or manufacturer certifications, where required
• A personal set of standard automotive technician tools
