Lithia & Driveway is seeking a Lube Technician at Wade Ford in Smyrna, GA. The role focuses on oil changes, inspections, and fluid maintenance while supporting a fast-paced service team. Ongoing training and ASE/manufacturer certification opportunities are available to advance your automotive skills.

The position requires a willingness to learn, participate in professional development, and maintain a high-output team mindset in a dealership setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ year automotive experience in a dealership or quick lube environment.
• Trade school for Automotive Technology encouraged.
• Desire to contribute to a high-output team.
• Comfort operating cars with manual and automatic transmissions.
• Working knowledge of computers and dealership tech.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume shop environment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and filter changes, tire rotations, and multipoint vehicle inspections.
• Check and maintain fluid levels (transmission, brake, power steering, coolant).
• Inspect tires, brakes, batteries, belts, hoses and wear.
• Document work on repair orders and test procedures/results.
• Assist with shop maintenance and support service team.
• Continuously learn and develop automotive skills with training.
• Acquire manufacturer and ASE certifications as directed.

What You'll Do

• Perform oil and filter changes, tire rotations, and multipoint vehicle inspections.
• Check and maintain fluid levels, including transmission, brake, power steering, and coolant systems.
• Inspect tires, brakes, batteries, belts, hoses, and other vehicle components for wear and safety concerns.
• Document work performed on repair order and document test procedures/results.
• Assist with shop maintenance and support the service team as directed.
• Continuously learn and develop automotive skills with opportunities for training and career growth.
• Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing the necessary and required training as directed by management.
• Constructively communicate with dealership personnel to satisfy customer needs.

What You'll Bring

• We prefer a candidate with 1+ year of automotive experience in a dealership or quick lube environment.
• We will consider a candidate with personal experience or completed trade school for Automotive Technology.
• Have a desire to produce and be part of a high-output team.
• Comfort in operating several cars, light trucks, and vans, with an ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
• Working knowledge of computers and technology.
• Comfortability in navigating computer and dealership technologies.
• Willingness to participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry knowledge to grow with us and meet projected service goals.
• Adept to handle high-volume and adapt to our needs.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.
