Job summary

Jenkins Volvo of Ocala seeks a Lube Technician to service vehicles as assigned by the Service Manager. The role includes checking and topping fluids, filters, and related parts, and may involve pre-delivery servicing to ensure vehicles are in excellent condition at delivery.

Ideal candidates hold an unrestricted driver\'s license, have a clean driving record, at least one year of vehicle-servicing experience, and an interest in vehicle maintenance with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Check all fluids and maintenance-related parts; top-off or replace fluids or filters as required.
• Perform routine service inspections, test, change engine oil/filter, lubricate chassis, and other major components.
• Drive vehicles in and around the premises as needed.
• Adapt to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry.
• Perform routine vehicle servicing activities as directed.

Job description

Job Summary:

The Lube Technician is responsible for servicing vehicles as assigned by the Service Manager, Team Leader, or ASM. The Lube Tech checks the oil, tire pressure and condition, filters, windshield wiper fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, transmission and differential fluids, and engine coolant. He/She will know how to top off or replace these fluids and maintenance-related parts as required. In addition, the Lube Technician may also be assigned to conduct pre-delivery service on a new and pre-owned vehicles to ensure excellent working order upon delivery to the customer. The ideal Lube Technician has an unrestricted driver's license, clean driving record, a minimum of one year vehicle-servicing experience, an aptitude and interest in vehicle maintenance, and strong analytical and communication skills. In addition, the Lube Technician will be (or be qualified to be) a state-certified inspector.
