Foss Recycling Inc. is seeking a dependable and experienced Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team.

The Fleet Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on company-owned cars and trucks to help keep our fleet safe, reliable, and ready for daily operations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on automotive maintenance experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to identify maintenance and repair needs before they become larger issues.

Perform routine preventive maintenance on company-owned cars and trucks, including oil and filter changes

Perform tire rotations, tire repairs, and tire replacements as needed.

Replace lights, filters, and other basic vehicle components.

Conduct vehicle inspections and identify needed maintenance or repairs.

Perform basic automotive maintenance and repair tasks as assigned.

Accurately document completed maintenance, inspections, and recommended repairs.

Communicate vehicle concerns and maintenance needs to management and company drivers.

Inspect tools and equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns as needed.

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.

Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

At least two (2) years of automotive maintenance, lube technician, fleet maintenance, or related experience preferred.

Experience performing oil changes, tire service, preventive maintenance, and basic automotive repairs.

Must have tools necessary to perform assigned work.

Valid driver's license required.

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential vehicle maintenance and safety concerns.

Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

Ability to safely use automotive tools and equipment.

Strong attention to safety and surroundings.

Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.

Dependable attendance and punctuality required.

Must be able to successfully complete company-required pre-employment screening.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, reach, push, pull, and perform physical maintenance work for extended periods.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull automotive parts, tools, and equipment as required to perform essential job duties.

Ability to work in awkward positions and confined or cramped spaces when necessary.

Ability to safely work around vehicles, automotive equipment, tools, and moving machinery.

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.

Work environment may include exposure to noise, dirt, dust, grease, automotive fluids, moving vehicles, tools, and equipment.

Must maintain awareness of surroundings while working around vehicles and equipment.

Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
