Job summary

Enterprise Mobility is hiring a Maintenance Technician at our Service Center in Wallingford, CT. You will perform car servicing, preventive maintenance, and reconditioning with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Pay starts at $20.60 per hour with $1 per ASE up to four, plus a $2 per hour shift differential for weekday evenings and weekends. The current max rate is $29 per hour. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401k with matching, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical experience is preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete vehicle maintenance inspections including tires, brakes and fluids.
• Provide preventive maintenance and service per manufacturer guidelines.
• Repair or replace tires and worn parts.
• Document repair orders and maintain vehicle repair history.
• Follow safety, health, and environmental standards and keep work area clean.
• Attend to shift requirements and participate in training to improve performance.

Overview

The Enterprise brand of Enterprise Mobility is seeking a responsible, dedicated person to join our team as a Maintenance Technician located at our Service Center: 856 N Colony Rd Wallingford, CT 06492.

The Maintenance Technicianperforms car service, repair, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting service, and vehicle reconditioning service according to company policy and procedures. This position requires the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative. Performs all responsibilities with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our Quality Standards.

The pay for this position starts at $20.60 / hour plus an additional $1 / hour for each qualifiedASE, up to a maximum of 4 ASEs. Weekday hours from 3:00pm to close and all weekend shifts also qualify for an additional $2 / hr shift differential.

Employees also have the opportunity to earn annual merit increases based on performance. The current maximum rate of pay for this position is $29 / hour.

Responsibilities

We are hiring now for immediate openings. Responsibilities include:

• Perform complete vehicle maintenance inspection including tires, brakes, and all fluid levels
• Perform preventive maintenance (oil change and tire rotation) service according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines
• Repair and replace tires
• Replace wearable parts (i.e. bulbs, wipers)
• Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a repair order (RO) to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair
• Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures
• Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of all services
• May process new fleet, fuel reclamation or buy backs
• Follow proper procedures to comply with all health, safety and environmental standards
• Maintain the work area in a safe, clean condition and comply with all uniform and equipment standards
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training and goal setting
• Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical experience is preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
• Must have a valid drivers license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the past 3 years
• No drug or alcohol related convictions on driving record within the past 5 years (DUI/DWI)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
