Job Overview

Leprino Foods is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for our state-of-the-art facility in Lubbock, TX, designed to produce cheese and whey products. We are committed to being the "world's best" in our industry, investing in innovation and excellence.

About the Facility

Groundbreaking for the $1 billion plant occurred in summer 2022. Phase 1 will be operational in 2025, with full operations commencing by 2026 (Phase 2).

Responsibilities
  1. Guide and oversee the Materials department team, including shipping/receiving, inventory control, safety, and scheduling.
  2. Manage inventory of all incoming production materials (excluding milk) to prevent shortages.
  3. Determine product availability to fulfill customer orders.
  4. Apply shipping specifications according to company policy.
  5. Control inventory expenses by selecting cost-efficient suppliers and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  6. Monitor receipts of cheese and powder from other locations, maintaining inventory of all purchased and manufactured products.
  7. Plan daily staffing to maximize efficiency and meet production needs.
  8. Lead, mentor, and develop team members through training, safety, quality, and performance initiatives.
  9. Foster a positive work environment with strong collaboration.
  10. Ensure policy compliance and complete required employee training.
  11. Address employee questions and concerns.
  12. Optimize team operations for efficiency, cost savings, and quality improvements.
  13. Implement and monitor safety programs, ensuring a safe workplace.
  14. Provide necessary training and equipment for safe job performance.
  15. Lead safety practices and participate in safety investigations.
  16. Manage quality systems and sanitation programs to meet food safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. College degree in Logistics, Warehouse Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in food manufacturing materials management.
  3. At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience.
  4. Proficiency with computers, with the ability to learn SAP or similar systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience in dairy or cheese manufacturing.
  2. Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
