Cumberland Valley High School seeks a certified school counselor to support students and families, with preference for middle school experience and elementary awareness.
The role emphasizes data-driven interventions using MTSS and the ASCA model, collaborating with staff to meet diverse learner needs.
Position requires an active and valid PA School Counselor Certification. Previous experience as a middle school counselor preferred.
The candidate must have good communication skills and a history of or ability to create good working relationships with staff, students, and parents. Candidate should be familiar with, and preferably have experience supporting elementary age school students and their needs. Must have the ability to meet the needs of diverse learners and knowledge of and ability to use a variety of assessment tools as well as interpret data. Must have strength in applying data to instructional practices when making decisions about interventions. Knowledge of the ASCA model and MTSS structure is essential.
