Job summary

The Webster Central School District is seeking a Long Term Substitute (LTS) Elementary School Teacher to join their team at the Schlegel Road Elementary School. The ideal candidate must hold a valid NYS Certification in early childhood or childhood education and should have prior teaching experience.

This position requires the individual to deliver a comprehensive curriculum, integrating literacy skills into the lesson plans while maintaining accurate student records.

Qualifications

Requirements: Must have NYS Certification in either Early Childhood Education B-2, Childhood Education 1-6, or Nursery-6

• Previous teaching experience in elementary education

• Candidates must have knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning

Responsibilities:

• Provides comprehensive instruction in the District approved curriculum
• Integrates literacy skills and strategies within the academic program, ensuring that all students are able to access text and communicate understanding through writing
• Demonstrates a deep and rich knowledge of subject area and the ability to convey it to the students
• Maintains accurate and timely student records available for teacher, student or parent reference

Salary: As per current Webster Teacher Association (WTA) Contract based on experience and education.
