Job summary

Central Transport is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Vandalia, OH to lead inbound terminal operations and supervise up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock staff. The role emphasizes safety, productivity and adherence to DOT/OSHA standards.

The ideal candidate will have prior management experience in transportation, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate loads based on labor availability while ensuring service quality and on-time performance.

• Ability to hire, coach and train staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inbound operations for your designated section of the terminal dock.
• Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to meet production schedules.
• Build loads based on available labor and freight levels using independent judgment.
• Monitor dock production to meet KPIs and overtime.
• Ensure safety and compliance with DOT/OSHA standards.
