Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor in Saint Louis, MO to lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations within the LTL unit. This role requires knowledge of LTL regulations, strong leadership, and flexibility to cover day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.

You will develop procedures, manage workloads, and ensure on-time, damage-free delivery. Qualified candidates have 2+ years in warehousing or transportation, plus a Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• Knowledge of the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads
• Supervise hourly staff and address workplace concerns
• Ensure production goals by managing tonnage, payroll and admin tasks
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily operations and lower costs
• Enforce policies and regulations (FMCSR, OSHA, DOT)
• Ensure timely, damage-free customer freight processing, loading and delivery
