Job description

Position Type: Full Time with On Call Duties

Essential Functions

• 1.Schedule and coordinate nursing and nursing aide staff as needed throughout the facility.
• 2.Monitor facility staffing ratios, Hours Per Patient Day (HPPD), and staffing trends.
• 3.Ensure staffing compliance with federal and state regulations, maintaining accurate reports.
• 4.Secure coverage for vacant shifts, open positions, vacations, and staff call-offs.
• 5. Maintain the master schedule and log of all clinical staff worked hours.
• 6. Assist payroll in verifying and ensuring the accuracy of worked hours for nursing staff.
• 7. Record employee attendance and communicate any concerns to DON, ADON, and HR.
• 8. Respond promptly to supervisor’s requests for staff coverage daily.
• 9. Support the Administrator and department heads in daily facility operations.
• 10. Assist and support leadership in facility recruitment and retention.
• *Other duties as assigned.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This position is part of a health care facility that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Evening and weekend work as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Required: At minimum a CNA
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI)
• Valid driver's license
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Professional, enthusiastic, and self-motivated positive attitude
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Flexibility to handle on-call duties as needed
• 2 Years Experience Preferred but not required
