SpecialtyRx, Inc. is hiring a meticulous Medication Receiving Technician in Morton Grove, IL. You will ensure accurate intake of medications and supplies from vendors, entering data into the inventory system with precision.

Office hours are full-time, Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays. The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and teamwork in a fast-paced, regulated LTC pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Illinois Pharmacy Technician registration/certification required as applicable under state regulations.
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy or inventory receiving experience; LTC or retail pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify all incoming medication shipments, including prescription drugs, OTCs, refrigerated medications, and controlled substances.
• Match purchase orders with invoices and packing slips, ensuring accuracy in quantities and NDCs.
• Inspect all packages for damage, expiration dates, and compliance with storage requirements, including refrigeration.
• Enter received items into the pharmacy inventory system (FrameworkLTC, SureCost).
• Label and shelve medications per storage guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in rotating stock and removing short-dated or expired inventory per QA protocols.
• Handle controlled substances in compliance with DEA requirements and state regs.
• Notify Inventory Lead or Purchasing about discrepancies or damaged shipments.
