Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long-Term Care | Spring Grove, MN

The role is based in southeastern Minnesota, a welcoming area known for its peaceful small-town atmosphere, scenic surroundings, and access to outdoor recreation.

• Position: Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long-Term Care
• Location: Spring Grove, Minnesota
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570–$1,650
• Start Date: November 9, 2026
• End Date: February 7, 2027
• Schedule: 8-hour evening and night shifts with variable start times, including approximately 1:30 p.m.-10:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.-6:00 a.m.
• Expected Hours: 40–48 hours per week; schedules may range from 36 to 48 hours based on facility needs
• Weekend and Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Call Requirements: No on-call or callback requirements
• Float Requirement: May float to a nearby affiliated facility approximately 25 miles away as needed

Licensed Practical Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Minnesota Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• At least 2 years of LPN experience, including at least 1 year of long-term care experience
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Associate degree or practical nursing certificate
• COVID-19 vaccination required; qualifying exemptions may be considered
• Prior experience with Matrix charting is preferred
• Strong organizational skills, resilience, adaptability, and the ability to work independently

Long-Term Care LPN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to long-term care residents
• Administer medications accurately and complete required documentation
• Perform treatments, as-needed interventions, and controlled medication responsibilities according to established procedures
• Monitor resident conditions, recognize changes in status, and communicate concerns promptly
• Collaborate with nursing assistants and other members of the care team to support resident needs
• Complete assessments, charting, and clinical documentation in a timely manner
• Manage assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Adapt to variable evening and night schedules and float to a nearby facility when needed
