MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Acute Care for a travel nursing job in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The LTAC unit requires caring for 5-6 patients, monitoring telemetry, and managing IVs and medications.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, a degree from an accredited program, and BLS/ACLS certifications, with 18 months LTAC experience. Night shifts are 12 hours, with 36 hours per week, on a travel assignment.

Qualifications

• Active RN License required.
• Degree from accredited nursing program.
• BLS & ACLS certifications required.
• Eighteen months of LTAC RN experience.
• Experience with vents, trachs, drips, EG tubes and reading tele-strips.

Responsibilities

• Care for 5-6 LTAC patients at a time.
• Monitor telemetry and adjust medications.
• Start IVs and draw blood; manage patient transitions.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and illness management.
• Maintain patient records and communicate with medical team.
