Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Acute Care for a travel nursing job in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The LTAC RN will manage 5-6 patients, monitor telemetry, start IVs, and educate patients and families.

Requires active RN license, LTAC experience, and BLS/ACLS certifications; travel assignment with 36 hours/week, nights, 13 weeks. This assignment offers housing or housing allowance, weekly pay, credentialing coverage, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active RN License
• Degree from accredited nursing program
• BLS & ACLS Certifications
• Eighteen months of LTAC experience
• Experience with vents, trachs, drips, EG tubes and able to read Tele-strips

Responsibilities

• Provide care for LTAC patients (5-6 patients)
• Monitor and administer medications
• Educate patients and families on procedures
• Monitor telemetry readings and notify team
• Start IVs and draw blood
• Care for patients with COPD, CHF, A-Fib
