Job summary

Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals Conroe is seeking a registered nurse to provide and coordinate direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. You will develop and update care plans, communicate changes to physicians and staff, and participate in discharge planning.

You must have an active RN license in Texas, BCLS on hire, and preferably 6 months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• RN with state licensure required.
• BCLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 6 months Med/Surg in acute care preferred.
• English fluency and good attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise nursing care per hospital policies.
• Direct and delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff capabilities.
• Document admissions, reassessments, plans and care in the medical record.
• Administer medications using the five rights to reduce errors.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures as needed.
• Participate in discharge planning and care coordination.
