Sylvania is seeking an Educational Aide to support students with disabilities under the supervision of a certified teacher and principal. This role focuses on implementing IEP-based activities, aiding self-help skills, and assisting with behavior management and instructional programs within the classroom and in support settings.
The ideal candidate holds an Associate's degree or two years of college (48 hours) or has met ESSA assessment requirements and holds a valid Texas Educational Aide
Help meet physical and instructional needs of individual students with disabilities inside and outside classroom. Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEP), including self-help, behavior management, and instruction programs. Work under general supervision of principal and immediate direction of certified teacher.
Associate's degree, two years of study at an institution of higher learning (at least 48 college hours), or have met formal academic assessment as required by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
Valid Texas educational aide certificate
Ability to work with children with disabilities. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to communicate effectively.
Experience working with children, preferred.
