Job summary

The Children's Village in Dobbs Ferry, NY is seeking a Shift Supervisor to provide direct care services and to assume supervisory authority in the cottage supervisor's absence. You will ensure staff adhere to individualized plans and model the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM).

The ideal candidate brings at least two years of child-care experience in residential settings, a high school diploma (some college preferred), and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of child-care experience at a residential treatment center or juvenile corrections facility.

• Ability to manage and promote a therapeutic environment considering youths' clinical needs.

Salary: $71,820.06 Annually

Position Overview:

The Shift Supervisor position is designed to provide direct care services but with added authority in the absence of the cottage supervisor. The Shift Supervisor also ensures that the direct care staff adheres to individualized plans for each resident and is also an expert within the team to model and support the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM). The Shift Supervisor shows dedication and willingness to work alongside the ITM supporting and carrying out the functions of the model to best serve the population. The Shift Supervisor is expected to have a nonjudgmental approach that focuses on skill building and basic principles of behavior (reinforcement, extinction, blocking and shaping). The Shift Supervisor is required to function as part of a team, committing to modeling pro social behavior and building positive relationships with all residents.

Position Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of two years of child-care experience at a residential treatment center or juvenile corrections facility. High School diploma required, some college preferred. Ability to manage and promote a therapeutic environment, taking into account varying clinical needs of each youth. Possession of a valid Driver’s License. Must possess exceptional time management and attention to detail skills
