Job summary

The Children’s Village in Dobbs Ferry, NY is seeking a Shift Supervisor to provide direct care services with added authority in the absence of the cottage supervisor. This role ensures adherence to individualized plans and models the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM).

You will work as part of a team, promote pro-social behavior, and build positive relationships with residents, applying nonjudgmental approaches and focusing on skill-building and behavior principles.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of child-care experience at a residential treatment center or juvenile corrections facility.

Position Overview:

The Shift Supervisor position is designed to provide direct care services but with added authority in the absence of the cottage supervisor. The Shift Supervisor also ensures that the direct care staff adheres to individualized plans for each resident and is also an expert within the team to model and support the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM). The Shift Supervisor shows dedication and willingness to work alongside the ITM supporting and carrying out the functions of the model to best serve the population. The Shift Supervisor is expected to have a nonjudgmental approach that focuses on skill building and basic principles of behavior (reinforcement, extinction, blocking and shaping). The Shift Supervisor is required to function as part of a team, committing to modeling pro social behavior and building positive relationships with all residents.

Position Qualifications:
